Birth Assisting/Midwifery Care

Kim Pekin is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and serves families seeking homebirth in the Northern Virginia area.  She works exclusively with Birth by Design clients.   Over the course of your pregnancy, Kim will get to know you and your family through your prenatal care visits at your home as well as at the Birth by Design office, and through the Childbirth Education Classes she teaches. As your midwife, Kim is committed to honoring your birth plan as much as possible, and will provide labor support, emotional support, encouragement, to help you have the beautiful homebirth you desire.
